2017 Mengku "Tea Drunk on Lincang" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake

This is a premium new blend produced only in 2017 (so far) from Mengku area first flush of spring material. Lin Cha Zui (临茶醉) means Tea Drunk on Lincang (tea). Mengku county is located in the Lincang prefecture of Yunnan. This is a strong smooth tea, with a balanced bitter/astringent profile and plenty of fruity sweetness, lubricating mouth feel and of course a strong cha qi that might make you feel a bit "tea drunk." A premium tea worthy of aging, and if if you are not faint of heart this is a very enjoyable tea now! Yunnan Shuang Jiang Mengku 云南双江勐库 : Shuangjiang Mengku is a company that was established in 1999 in the city of Shuangjiang, which means Double River, in Mengku county of Lincang 临沧 prefecture. The predecessor was a state-owned Shuangjiang Factory that was established in 1974. Their teas have become renowned for both their distinct crisp tastes and reasonable prices. The name of their factory is Rongshi (戎氏) and so they sometimes also produce teas under the Mengku Rongshi label. Presently, they have become one of the top tea producers in the country.
