Assam 2nd Flush Dejoo is a Loose Indian Tea from the Dejoo Estate. The grade is Super Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe 1 (SFTGFOP1), which is harvested during the second flush season. Assam Tea, unlike Darjeeling Tea , is at its finest quality in the second flush. Such is the case with this delightful infusion, boasting a characteristic malty flavour with notes of caramel. Caffeine is another noteworthy aspect to our Assam Second Flush Dejoo Tea, of which it contains approximately 45-mg of this stimulating chemical compound per 8-oz cup. It also, according to the latest scientific research, offers health benefits, including improved heart health and reduced diabetes risks. Perhaps most essential, however, is the fact that we pack it fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory. Assam Dejoo Tea Estate This garden finds itself on the north bank of the mighty river Brahmaputra and bordered by the hills of Arunachal Pradesh. The river Ranga forms the eastern boundary of the estate. Assam 2nd Flush Dejoo is the product of tropical climatic conditions and abundant rainfall, factors of which contribute significantly to its taste and profile. I t is no real surprise, then, that it is becoming increasingly popular. What is Second Flush Assam Tea? Second Flush Assam Tea, often regardless of the garden it comes from, is the crème de la crème. Harvesting takes place between mid-May and June, which is when the leaves are at their best having had time to mature. Darjeeling Tea, on the other hand, is most sought-after during the First Flush period. Should you want an unmistakably hearty brew, however, you’ve chosen well here. How to Brew Assam Second Flush Dejoo Tea 1, Put Loose Leaf Tea in a Tea Infuser or Filter. 2, Place the Tea-filled accessory in a cup or mug. 3, Boil water and pour it over the leaves. 4, Allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes. How to Serve: Milk sugar, honey or lemon – the choice is yours. Alternatively, serve black. Benefits of Assam 2nd Flush Dejoo This Tea tastes excellent while at the same time delivering protection against a multitude of ailments. What could be better than that? Its wealth in vitamins, minerals and other antioxidants are arguably most vital, particularly when it comes to combating free radicals in the body. This slows down oxidative stress, thereby reducing the risk of developing several conditions. Furthermore, its properties can improve oral health. This is according to a study conducted in conjunction with the College of Dentistry at the University of Iowa and the Institute of Odontology at Göteborg University. Both the US and Swedish researchers concluded that the polyphenolic compounds in Black Tea could kill or suppress cavity-causing bacteria.
