Chun Mee Organic Green Tea A classic green tea and perfect for those starting out on the green tea journey. This very popular Chun Mee Organic Green Tea has a dusty green appearance and is generally more acidic and less sweet than other green teas. It was originally produced only in the Chinese Jiangxi province but is nowadays also grown elsewhere. The tea is divided into several grades with numbers. Some examples are: 41022, 4011, 9371, 8147, 9367, 9366, 3008 or 3009. The number 41022 in this case represents the highest quality while number 8147 consists practically only of broken leaves. We have worked hard with the growers to offer only 41022 grade tea. This Chun Mee Organic Green Tea has a bright flavour, light tangy sweetness, and a toasty warm clean finish, making it an excellent green tea during the day or night, with a nice well-rounded flavour and after taste. Cup Colour: yellow. Amount of tea per cup: 1 slightly heaped teaspoon. Brewing time: Use freshly drawn water at 80C for 2 to 3 minutes. Leaf Grade: Spring / China If you are new to green teas, then Chun Mee, Gunpowder or Sencha are the best places to start, but always remember to use water at 80C, boiling water kills the green tea flavour.
