A high quality, rich gyokuro coming from one of the most famous source regions of Ujicha, the village of Wazuka, where tea farmer Uejima-san is based. Gokou is an unregistered tea cultivar from Kyoto Prefecture which is mainly used to make gyokuro or tencha. It is a cultivar that works very well with shaded cultivation methods and so it is uncommon to find a gokou sencha. This gyokoro gokou from Uejima-san has a notable aroma and rich, creamy umami.
