Resumen
This rare purple tea is grown at high altitudes in the Mount Kenya region of Kenya. High levels of anthocyanin, a flavonoid pigment also found in blueberries, cause the leaves to display a purple tinge. The pale purple-bronze cup exhibits pronounced juicy stone fruit notes in both the aroma and liquor. A sweet earthy fragrance hints of a fresh garden and a ripe cantaloupe. A silky smooth mouth feel supports a flavor profile layered with hints of tropical fruit, strawberries, and flowers. The finish is lively and lingering with a nuance of crisp white wine. We are delighted to offer this unique Kenyan purple tea, created in honor of Upton Tea Imports' 35th anniversary in 2024.
