Resumen
A very popular sencha from Chiyonoen, this Saemidori single cultivar sencha will please you as it is very soft and gentle to the mouth. This cultivar is known for not having much bitterness. In fact, one is sure to be delighted by a combination of refreshing flavor mixed with its sweetness that will spread throughout your mouth. Please enjoy across multiple steeps! A note about the cultivar: The Saemidori cultivar is known for its bright green color (in Japanese, Saemidori menas “clear green”). It is a cultivar that was first cross-bred in 1969 between Asatsuyu, the “natural gyokuro” for its rich umami flavors and the popular Yabukita cultivar which balances flavor with great crop yield and resistance to disease. It is a cultivar that has grown in familiarity and has been increasingly liked by Japanese tea lovers. Please enjoy this single-oriign Saemidori sencha from Chiyonoen.
