Organic Jade Mountain GABA From our 'tea polymath' friend on Jade mountain comes another gorgeous, clean and tasty take on a classic Taiwanese oolong style. This GABA is strong, rich and potent. Although it hasn't been tested for the total amount of GABA per gram (the production was too small to warrant the extra expense) for those that are sensitive to GABA it seems to pack quite the calming effect. It is also the only GABA on the site made with the Qinxin cultivar, so its hints of unique florals in the aftertaste are a fun plus for fans of this genre of teas. This tea was so potent in the spring that we have let it settle for a few months in the hot Taiwanese summer warehouse and it has softened and filled out beautifully. It is ready to go! Tasting Notes: classic 'GABA' taste, thick dark fruit, raisins, sweet potato, with a hint of high mountain floral in the aftertaste Elevation: 1400m Status: Organic Certified Cultivar: QinXin Oxidization: GABA Processing Season: Spring, 2025 Method: Hand picked, processed on site, small batch Region: Jade Mountain Region, Nantou Recommend Brewing Style: Gong Fu Style: 3-5g per 100ml, ~100C water, 30, 45, 60 then add 5-10 seconds steeps in gaiwan.
