Join us in celebrating 40 years of Red Blossom with our limited edition 40th Anniversary Collection! In honor of this milestone for our family business, we've compiled four of our most exquisite harvests into a singularly momentous tasting flight, showcasing two of our finest Red Label teas, plus two exceptionally rare, aged crops from our own Private Collection — available publicly for the first time ever, exclusively in this boxed set. Our 40th Anniversary Collection includes four packets of tea (1oz each), spanning a range of classic and unique styles. Each packet includes tasting notes and background information; a QR code on the box links to a guided unboxing video. This collection is packaged in our iconic silver gift box with a limited edition red label. Within our 40th Anniversary Collection, discover an indulgent tasting of: Our Finest Dragonwell - Our highest-grade green tea and the earliest-harvest crop in our entire collection. Harvested in mid-March, these ultra-young, "pre-snow" tea buds offer an impossibly crisp and balanced profile of snap pea and brown butter. Heritage Beidou - Descended from the original Da Hong Pao mother plants — and cultivated near Ma Tou Yan in the heart of the Wuyi Mountains' most coveted Zhengyan or "True Cliff" region — our Red Label Wuyi oolong boasts an impressive pedigree and an even more impressive taste. Wonderfully layered, with notes of toffee and whisky casks, fading to a finish of dried tropical fruit and flowers. Aged Tieguanyin 1997 - An impeccably aged crop of Tieguanyin from our Private Collection, harvested in 1997 and aged nearly 30 years here in San Francisco. Forgiving to brew and breathtakingly aromatic, with notes of ripe peach, umeboshi, walnut skin, and a crisp mineral finish. Aged Orchid, ca. 1980 - As one of the first teas we ever imported, aged in San Francisco since our inception in 1985, Aged Orchid offers the ultimate taste of our company's legacy. This unique tea is crafted from a base of fermented Liu An tea blended with fragrant zhulan or "pearl orchid" flowers, for a flavor profile that effortlessly traverses the boundary between light and dark. White tea dish sold separately.
