This is a lovely production of 2017 spring harvested tea from the wilds of An Hua county in Hunan. The name of the tea "Ya Pan Ye Fang" 崖畔野放 means "wild on the cliff." This describes the terrain of the Yun Tai mountains where this tea grows. Rocky, steep, and wild. Tea trees grow well in this terrain, although picking the tea is quite labor intensive! The tea is a blend of grade 1-3 (grade refers to leaf size) tea leaves that was expertly processed and pressed. The inner part of the brick is flourishing with golden flowers (Eurotium cristatum). Incredibly unique Fu Zhuan tea! Light level of smokiness, caramel, fruit, and mushroom broth abound! Smooth and sweet after-taste, with a lubricating mouth feel! Mineral "rock" taste, light bitterness if you push with longer steeps, but very sweet as well. Nice cha qi, not overpowering. Each Brick is 380 grams. Produced by the China Tea Co. (Hunan) ALLERGEN ALERT!!! ** Because there is a possibility that this tea has golden flowers in it, and that golden flowers were produced by inoculating wheat flour we cannot guarantee this tea is safe for those with Celiac Disease or those that have severe gluten induced allergies ** Spend $300 or more and get a 380 Gram brick of 2017 Zhong Cha "Ya Pan Ye Fang" Golden Flowers Fu Brick of Hunan FREE!
