Panoramica
Pairing: stone fruit, roast chicken, or buttery pastries

It has always been a passion of Daniel’s to source vintage teas to share with tea drinkers who are eager to learn more about aged tea – specifically, to better understand how the taste profile of a particular tea type may change over time as it ages, and how recipes and processing methods differ in the old days compared to now. Introducing an extraordinary discovery: the Wild Tree Phoenix Dan Cong from the 1970s. This tea was sourced in Chaozhou from a personal collection and has been meticulously stored in a pewter container for decades. It is a truly exceptional find.If you've experienced stomach issues with previous Dan Cong teas, this Dan Cong tea is a must-try.The leaves of this tea are thick and textured, indicating that they likely come from wild trees. Unlike the common Dan Congs available in today's market, the large, brownish leaves boast a distinct appearance. The taste of this tea is equally unique, reflecting its age and storied journey. With the first infusion, the liquor pours a beautiful reddish-brown hue, and instead of floral notes, it captivates with an enticing flavor profile featuring well-balanced woody and earthy undertones. A subtle touch of medicinal character enhances the experience, accompanied by a delightful, lasting sweetness. As we steeped the tea for longer durations, its flavor developed into a stronger and more complex profile, offering a tantalizing hint of astringency that invigorated the palate, while still preserving its satisfying, lingering sweetness. This excellent tea rewards us with a multitude of infusions and an immensely enjoyable experience.Recommended as a reference tea for passionate tea enthusiasts, please note that the quantity available is extremely limited.
