Spring 2008 harvested Yi Wu Mountain tea leaves were pressed using stone compression technique in the Yi Wu Zheng Shan Tea Factory in Yi Wu town of Mengla County (Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan). The tea was aged in Jinghong in Xishuangbanna for 10 years before being purchased and brought to Kunming in January 2018. The wetter aging condition has transformed this tea into an semi-aged gem. The strong character of the tea shines through the years and wetter aging condition to deliver a pungent and viscous tea with some mild bitterness and astringency, and a strong sweet hui gan (returning taste). There is a long-lasting mouth-feel and the tea is surprisingly infusable! This would be a good tea to purchase for enjoying now or to gain a head start on the aging process. 400 Grams per cake Spring 2008 Harvest Yi Wu Mountains, Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture (Yunnan) ** Some wrappers may be bug-bitten with little holes in the paper. There may also be some dust between the wrapper and the cake. Rinse tea once or twice briefly before drinking! If you are squeamish please don't order this tea!
