2007 CNNP "Jingmai Early Spring" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake

This is a pressing by the China Tea Company (aka Kunming Tea Factory) from entirely first flush of spring material from Jingmai mountains in Lancang county of Simao. Most likely plantation tea, but still very potent and aromatic. Thick, hoppy tea soup with tons floral sweetness and some light astringency/bitterness. The tea soup is a gold-orange color. The tea has a thick mouthfeel and lubricating and despite its age it still needs careful brewing so it won't be overpowering. Kunming aging (since 2007) has helped this tea maintain it's Jingmai character while also helping it mature into a much more balanced tea than it used to be.
