Competition Grade Eastern Beauty Oolong After years of looking, we have finally found an Eastern Beauty Oolong source that we can trust. Grown in Emei Township, the heart of the traditional Eastern (Oriental) Beauty growing region, this one is about as traditional as it gets. A small, multi generational farm produces this tea in small, meticulously handmade batches where every day's production tastes different! We were lucky enough to get access to a couple of the highest quality harvests before they were entered in the local Eastern Beauty tea competition. We were so impressed by this harvest that we bought as much as we could, meaning that this tea didn't make it into the competition, but into our warehouse! We hope that you enjoy it. It isn't cheap, but teas of this quality rarely are. And if it had won the competition, the price would triple! The experience of this tea is beautiful, from the rich, soft sweet smell of the wet leaves to the strong floral perfume of the brew itself, to the final sweet finish. Masterfully crafted by a multi generational tea making family, we are proud to support people that make teas such as this one. **Eastern, or Oriental, Beauty Oolongs are highly sought-after teas in both the local Taiwanese and international markets. Floral, soft, fruity and sweet, these bug-bitten mid-high oxidized oolongs are the favorite of many for good reason! They also tend to have a higher price tag than other teas.
