Tea: Xiangluo Qimen(香螺祁门红茶)Type: Red TeaHarvest: April 2026Region: Anhui Province, Qimen County, Pingli Township.Producer: Master ZhengTasting Notes: Squash, Dark Chocolate, Sunflower Seed, Peanut. This is a modern spin on Keemun from a younger producer. In flavor, it is relatively sweeter, but with nutty and squash notes not present in the more traditional Gongfu variants. This is Keemun as Chinese people enjoy it today. Although still made in the central production area using the heirloom Chuyezhong varietal, the finished leaves have neither been blended or broken. It is a single origin, single batch red tea as is more common with smaller producers. Consequently, it does not brew up quite so strong, or with that same composite flavor, but it still has some of that Keemun power. Simple does not always mean bad, and that is true for this handsomely curled treat. This is a comfy and straightforward red tea. It is consequently enjoyed best with convention western brewing in your favorite mug. We would not recommend adding milk to this tea.
