Overview
Tip: start at ~95°C, then adjust down 3–5°C if it turns sharp.

The big one. This is our only Reserve tea where you can go back and try the same material from 2025 and 2021, if you have it. Finding this in April of 2016 was a moment of joy for us. From the first session it was apparent this tea had serious energy, which was confirmed by those who purchased this initial pressing – all of which sold out within 6 months. At the time, this land had only started to be harvested again for about 3 years after having been abandoned for a large part of the last century. A decade later, this tea still delivers on the energy front, which is warm and calming. It has mellowed out a bit as expected, with some middle-aged qualities and a smooth sweetness. However, there is still plenty of power and a slight aggressive quality. This tea builds momentum even as it approaches steeps 8-10, all the while with a great huigan. Our only regret is not buying more. Availability: 1 x 100g cake
