A superior culinary grade, it’s produced across three famous tea-growing regions of Japan or China, depending on the time of year, using traditional techniques: the leaves are carefully shaded before harvest, steamed, rolled and de-veined then slowly ground on granite wheels to yield the jewel-like powder. Its classic bittersweet profile, similar to our Matcha Wakatake, is balanced by bright, grassy and naturally creamy flavors that compel another sip.
