Hojicha is a traditional Japanese tea made from roasted green tea leaves. Its birthplace is Kyoto, in the Uji region, where this tea has been grown and roasted by hand for over a hundred years. Thanks to the special low-temperature roasting technique, hojicha develops a deep nutty–caramel aroma, a smooth taste, and contains almost no caffeine. AROMATIC CHARACTERISTICS OF HOJICHA: Dry aroma: roasted nuts, smokiness, caramel With water: warm notes, hints of cocoa With milk: smooth and creamy, toasted chestnut notes WHY IT’S GREAT: ✓ Low caffeine — suitable for evenings and before bedtime. ✓ All-natural composition: 100% Japanese tea with no additives or flavorings. ✓ Fine powder — ideal for lattes, desserts, and smoothies. ✓ Deep taste — combines creamy, nutty, and cocoa-like notes. HOW TO MAKE A HOJICHA LATTE: Mix 1 teaspoon of hojicha powder with 50 ml of hot water (80–85 °C). Add 150 ml of warm milk and a bit of sweetener. Whisk or froth — enjoy the smooth nutty-creamy taste. Try hojicha latte and discover a new side of Japanese tea culture. Country of origin: Japan (Uji, Kyoto) Packaging: Airtight bag to preserve aroma
