Rich, malty, and chocolatey, this toasted green tea makes a fantastic tea latte. It is crafted from finely ground green tea - like a normal matcha - but what makes this powdered green tea so special is that the leaf and stem has first been toasted to become a hojicha. You could also call this tea ground hojicha or hojicha powder. The colour is nutty brown rather than green - and the resulting tea is much lower in caffeine.
