This single estate black tea is from the Western hills of Sri Lanka, located between the cities of Kandy and Nuwara Eliya at an elevation of 2000ft. Clean bright and full-bodied, it has a sweet citrus note with an oaky finish. It is bold enough to be used as a breakfast tea in its own right and can take a dash of milk if you prefer. The dark leaves have coppery tints and the wet leaves have a lovely woody smell. It is a popular tea and very reasonably priced. An everyday tea, for any time of day.
