Overview
Best pick • solid dark choice from Unknown origin

A fantastic fall sheng, this tea could also be known as bargain Bingdao. Or maybe passed off as legit Bingdao Laozhai under other guises… But here at Bitterleaf, we won’t do you like that. This tea comes from Bingdao Bawai, which is one of the 5 villages that make up Bingdao area. Our original intention was to provide a cake from each of these 5 villages, however, this fall’s weather had different plans, heavily reducing production and availability for 3 of the villages. While Laozhai (old village) is the one that everybody wants and consequently the one that commands top dollar, tea from this village is still excellent, and most definitely a better value than Laozhai material. This tea is highly fragrant, with the characteristic Bingdao honey-sweetness that all the kids all go for these days. There is also a good kick to it when pushed, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a good value mid-range sheng. $0.45/gram
