Type: Young raw puer I've known Master Cai for a lot of years now and we're happy to offer you one of his custom blend cakes made in the Spring of 2020. He blended it in Yunnan but has aged it in the humid heat of Central Taiwan for the last four years now. Basically Puerh hyper-drive aging. It's already getting a nice amber color. I like this tea because it's very well balanced and that's the first thing you notice I think. You'll get a nice soupy pour from the first steep :) with just a touch of honey. The bitterness is approachable for a young sheng but I'm still brewing this with shorter steeps (10-15sec). That'll give it just a hint of bitter at the end. Master Cai is a tea nerd par excellence and I think you'll like his tea. The Full Cake is stamped with the same words as the smaller cakes but it's in archaic Chinese script as can be seen in the photos. 落水洞 (Sinkhole), 三草堂 (his mark) Note: There are already some small holes in the wrapper of many of these cakes.
