Overview
Best pick • solid black choice from Unknown origin
Established in 1969, the Temi Estate is the only tea garden in the Indian state of Sikkim, located north of Darjeeling. The tea is grown at 4,000 to 7,000 feet, on the slopes of Tendong Hill, in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains. Threaded with a profusion of golden tips, the attractive, well-made leaves of this outstanding 2025 selection produce a rich, fruity cup with a sweet, toasty aroma. Hints of ripe apple enhance the fragrance while complementing the velvety smoothness of the dark amber liquor. Notes of ripe stone fruit combine with hints of spice and pear to linger in the smooth, clean finish. This tea was cultivated without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers.
