We're hoping to source a new lot in the future, but there is no guarantee. This “Tai Ping Hou Kui” style tea is famous for its visual presentation alone. The gentle mouthfeel of light, yet savory soup stock brings elements of dried flowers, minerals, and melon rind. Minimalist, refined, and forgiving in the steep. Harvested and produced mid-late April 2025 at Tang Kou Mountain, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It’s a one bud, two leaf pick of the local Shi Da cultivar growing at 1,900 feet. Taiping Hou Kui is one of China’s most famous teas. It’s dried in a flat mesh to produce its iconic look. Like most other Anhui green teas, it has an inherently soft character and lacks the astringency of other green teas.
