We're hoping to source a new lot in the future, but there is no guarantee. This “Huang Shan Mao Feng” style tea is by definition, a classic. The cup is soft and yielding with no astringency. The character is clean and floral, barely savory. Primal, simple, yet classy from start to finish. Harvested and produced April 15, 2025 by Mr. Jiang Zheng Nan at Tunxi Village on Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain) in Anhui Province. It’s a one bud, two leaf pick of a local cultivar growing at 3,200 feet. The “Mao Feng” leaf style (one bud, two leaf pick, lightly rolled) from Huang Shan is considered the origin of the “pan-firing” technique and is the basis for modern Chinese tea-making.
