Overview
Best pick • solid black choice from Unknown origin
Tip: start at ~95°C, then adjust down 3–5°C if it turns sharp.

High aromatics like the first sprouts of spring, but the cup has a thicker and more savory quality. The mouthfeel is fresh without becoming astringent and it has the cultivated earthy character of asparagus and almonds. A forgiving and versatile steeper that always produces a good cup. Harvested and produced April 1, 2024 by Daniel Hong with the help of Mr. Xie Rong Wei in Zudun Town, Songxi County, Fujian Province. It’s a one bud, two leaf pick of the Mei Zhan cultivar growing at 1,300 feet. The Mei Zhan cultivar was originally intended for oolong production, but is now increasingly common in black tea production. This white tea production is rare, but highlights its versatility. Ingredients: white tea Steeping Instructions 3 grams | 10-12 oz water | 175°F | Steep 3 min. Number of Cups 2 oz makes 19 cups, 4 oz makes 38 cups
