Mysterious. A loner. The real deal. Produced April 25, 2023 in Jian’ou County, Fujian Province. It’s a one bud, three leaf pick of the Qilan cultivar growing at approximately 2,600 feet. Jian’ou County used to be the heart of China tea, especially in the Song dynasty, but still holds much potential. The Qilan cultivar is originally from Anxi, but has migrated to the Wuyi region and is now a common choice for making rock tea. Qilan is known for its aroma, but this lot has an unusually intense mouthfeel and sweetness. Impressive! Ingredients: oolong tea Steeping Instructions 4 grams | 10-12 oz water | 195°F | Steep 4 min.
