Style: Black Origin: Fujian Province, Wuyi Mountains, China Description: The larger leaves from the tea plant – the souchong – are specially harvested and processed for this black tea. The tea is roasted in bamboo baskets and heated over burning pine wood. The pine smoke is what contributes to the extraordinarily bold flavour and smell of this tea. Lapsang Souchong has gained huge popularity outside of China, both for its drinking and culinary uses. Aside from enjoying it by the cup, Lapsang makes amazing marinades, vinaigrettes, sauces and desserts.
