Overview
Best pick • solid oolong choice from Unknown origin
Pairing: stone fruit, roast chicken, or buttery pastries

The result of our first trial pressing of dancong oolong, these milanxiang biscuits pack a punch. Using spring material from Wudong shan, this tea offers up classic honey sweetness and floral fragrance in a compact and potent package. And we‘re not joking when we say potent. Although these are only 5g each in size, we highly recommend using a lighter tea to water ratio. In our experience this means something around to 1g:30ml. Due to the pressing process, being full processed dancong, and small format, many leaves will come out broken when you start brewing, and typical dancong parameters will likely lead to seriously bitter tea. Another way to tame this tea is by cold brewing, which can yield excellent results. Our recommendation in case is just one biscuit with approximately 1.5L of water for 12+ hours. While this tea may not be the best choice for those still finding their footing with dancong, those with some experience will be rewarded with a bounty of honey and orchid in their cup. $0.15-0.20/gram Region: Wudong Shan, Guangdong Picking Period: Spring 2025
