Pairing: sushi, steamed vegetables, or citrusy salads

Roasted Yerba-Maté is a rich, full-bodied and smooth brew. Flavours of coffee and toast make it deeply satisfying and quite different to conventional teas. Prepared from the evergreen shrub, Illex paraguayensis, Yerba Maté is the traditional drink throughout Latin America. When roasted, it’s toasty, slightly creamy - reminiscent of Japanese Hōjicha. The traditional green version of Yerba Maté is high in caffeine, but the roasting process softens that a little, although it still remains pretty punchy. The caffeine kick and breakfasty flavour profile make for a great morning pick-me-up. A lovely option when you want to try something a little different. Roasty • Toasty • Unique Why you’ll love it Stimulating and completely unique Full-flavoured botanicals (not a weak, watery brew) High in Vitamin C Ingredients Roasted Maté leaves Brewing guide Amount: 1 teaspoon per cup Water: Freshly boiled water (100°C) Time: 3 minutes FAQs Does it contain caffeine? No — naturally caffeine-free. Can I drink it with milk? Generally best without milk — but if you enjoy creamy brews, try a small splash. How should I store it? Keep it sealed, cool and dry — away from heat, sunlight and strong aromas.
