Never the prettiest leaves, nor most expensive Dancong on offer, this Dancong huangpian always earns a spot by way being a high performer on a budget. Similar to puer, this huangpian Dancong consists of the older leaves that are sorted from the tea during production, largely for appearance purposes. Despite not making the final cut, these leaves have plenty to offer, with a honey-like sweetness and plenty of florals. As this tea is a blend of the sorted leaves from multiple varietals, the exact composition is difficult to say, but we suspect there’s a healthy amount of Milanxiang in there. While this is a solid daily drinker as it is, close your eyes and it could easily beat many regular Dancong productions that come in at a higher price. Please note that the 250g size does not include a tin. $0.10-0.15/gram
