Overview
Best pick • solid dark choice from Unknown origin
Tip: start at ~95°C, then adjust down 3–5°C if it turns sharp.

This tea has been kept in Calgary for over 20 years. Calgary is very dry which slows down the post-fermentation of the tea. This also kept most of the Chi and Yun of the tea. The tea is very active, bringing the mouth and the palate alive. The leaves are dry and have a dark green, light brown color. The tea cake is tightly compressed. When the wrapping paper is opened, a strong, exhilarating scent with a hint of camphor comes out. This smell is only found in aged Pu-erh that was kept in dry storage. The tea liquid is clear and bright with a rich red color. The very first taste of the tea is thick and robust. Even though the tea taste a little bitter at first, a comfortable sweetness comes right after, leaving a strong and lingering taste of the green camphor in the mouth. This tea is great for drinking right away and has excellent potential for continuous keeping to develop more explosive flavor as it reaches its peak in Cha Chi.
