Overview
This is an entry-level ceremonial grade matcha meant for usucha or "thin tea." It delivers a smooth, bold cup for casual drinking. Sold in a 50-gram pouch. Harvested May 2025 in Nishio, Aichi prefecture, Japan. It is made from the Yabukita cultivar. This tea was formerly called "Matcha Chiyo-no-shiro." Ingredients: green tea Steeping Instructions Sift 1/2 tsp (1 gram) or one scoop (chashaku) of tea into 3 oz of 180 F water. Whisk with a bamboo whisk (chasen).
