Overview
This Yunnan green tea has a strong sticky rice fragrance, lent to it by the aptly named sticky rice leaf (糯米叶). This plant is completely unrelated to rice, but just happens to have this scent once dried, making it suitable for infusing teas. The base tea has a full flavour and excellent fragrance on its own, but the sticky rice quality takes it to another level, adding a creamier quality and almost glutinous texture (although that might just be our minds playing a trick). This tea is extremely flexible in terms of brewing and serves well for gongfu, casual drinking or taking on hikes. $0.11-0.15/gram Picking Period: February 27 – March 4, 2026 Region: Simao, Yunnan
