Overview
Similar to two of our other oolong offerings for 2024, this tea comes by way of imported Taiwanese varietal arbour (qiaomu) trees that have been planted and grown at high altitude here in Yunnan. This lighter roasted tea offers a nice contrast to the others though, with an elegant fragrance that isn’t overwhelming up front, but incredibly persistent. This tea exhibits little to no noticeable bitterness or astringency, instead delivering a very sweet, sugary quality. The soup texture is delicate, with a slight milky quality. For anyone who enjoys Taiwanese high mountain oolongs or lighter roasted oolongs, this tea is one that shouldn’t be missed. $0.22-0.28/gram Picking Period: Spring 2024 Region: Simao, Yunnan Varietal: Taiwanese soft stem varietal (台湾小叶种乌龙软枝)
