This tea’s name says it all, as this organic certified Simao green tea delivers a noticeable fried bean fragrance that makes it quite unique. While this fragrance is noticeable in the soup, there is also a prominent sugary sweetness. The lid also gives off an extremely sweet and fragrant scent. This year’s tea particularly impressed us with a milky quality and great texture. A burnt sugar scent is left behind in the cup, while the spent leaves have almost a passionfruit-like aroma. Overall, this is a very crisp and refreshing tea, and although it falls squarely into the budget friendly/daily drinker category, we highly recommend gongfu brewing this tea to bring out maximum beaniness. $0.12-0.18/gram Picking Period: February 27 – March 4, 2026 Region: Simao, Yunnan
