Dragon's Eye Charcoal Muzha Tieguanyin **The 2017 Vintage is back! Our friend found some stashed away and we bought a bunch!" When we walked into this amazing garden nestled in the hills above Taipei City in 2018 we got asked the usual question. "What are you doing here?" When we answered that we were looking for agrochemical-free, dragon's-eye charcoal roasted, authentic Muzha Tieguanyin, the farmer laughed and said, "Well, you found the only one!" And we are glad we did. Certainly charcoal roasted, but not to the point of tasting like an ashtray like many Muzha teas, this tea is a beautiful version of the rich, dark tea that is the favorite of so many tea lovers. Complex notes of vanilla, white grapes and just a hint of smoke dazzle those who try this tea. A spring 2018 pick, this tea is just about right age wise and is really coming into its own. And it will only get better with a little aging. While not a beginner's tea, this is the absolute best version of authentic Muzha Tieguanyin we have ever found. Those who are a fan of this genre will not be disappointed by this one!
