Overview
Processed on April 6th 2023 Ancient tea garden leaves from Ai Ban Garden, Jingmai village Ai Ban is my favorite garden on Da Ping Zhang plateau, Jingmai Mountain. It is a short ride from the village and I like to take a stroll there when I'm not busy in the tea factory. It is managed by our uncle, Na Dan. Ai Ban is partly covered by a light forest, partly exposed to the sun. This year, it was only harvested once, and the yield was low. Tea trees exposed to direct sunlight didn't grow very well due to the lack of water. We only managed to process one batch of this tea, this is why we offer it as mao cha instead of full cakes. The tea is intense on the gums and leaves a trail of sweetness as it flows down the throat. It feels refreshing and powerful, too bad we couldn't get more of it this harvest.
