Overview
Red Jade with Bergamot|佛手柑紅玉 (有機) Tasting notes: Bold, baked citrus, eucalyptus Origin: Yuchi, Nantou, Taiwan Cultivar: Taiwan No.18, 紅玉 (Red Jade) Elevation: 750m Oxidation: ⦿⦿⦿⦿⦿ Meet the farmerAn elevated version of Earl Grey made from organic Red Jade black tea layered with hand-shredded bergamot strips for a bold, uplifting aroma. Why we love it: Most Earl Grey is made of crushed black tea and bergamot oil. Our version is made with a fruity whole leaf black tea from Taiwan called Red Jade and hand-shredded strips of bergamot for a bolder flavour. It's organic. In fact, it's produced by Katie Yen’s permaculture farm in Taiwan’s scenic Sun Moon Lake region. They grow a border of bergamot around the tea plants as a natural pesticide, and they use the bergamot in the tea itself. Red Jade is Taiwan's most famous black tea, loved for its fruity flavour and cooling mint sensation. What is black tea?
