The gentle mouthfeel of light, yet savory soup stock brings elements of dried flowers, minerals, and melon rind. Minimalist, refined, and forgiving in the steep. Harvested and produced mid-late April 2025 at Tang Kou Mountain, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It’s a one bud, two leaf pick of the local Shi Da cultivar growing at 1,900 feet. Taiping Hou Kui is one of China’s most famous teas. It’s dried in a flat mesh to produce its iconic look. Like most other Anhui green teas, it has an inherently soft character and lacks the astringency of other green teas.
