Overview
This lot of tea is almost gone. We're hoping to source a new lot in the future, but there is no guarantee. High pitch floral perfection with a tangy grip. The revelry of bitter herbs and lemongrass punctuates the bouquet. Potent mouthfeel, light in body, and a versatile steeper. Produced in April of 2025 by Masahiro Okutomi at the Okutomien Tea Farm in Sayama town of Saitama prefecture. This is a withered sencha made from the Yumewakaba cultivar. The Okutomien Tea Farm is a pioneer of this style. Withered sencha means the leaves are allowed to “wither” after picking in big trays, allowing the air to flow through, reducing moisture content and changing its chemical nature. This is a critical step in the making of black, oolong, and white teas, but is rare in green tea. Ingredients: green tea Steeping Instructions 3 grams | 10-12 oz water | 175°F | Steep 3 min.
