Overview
This Bang Dong region ancient tree raw Puer is a complex, but balanced tea. Leaning on the sweeter side of the young Puer spectrum, it doesn’t try to hit you over the head with any particular characteristic, but rather brings them out over time. There is some expected “young sheng” bitterness and astringency in the early steeps, which mellows out and becomes sweet and fragrant, producing a lasting cooling sensation in the throat. We recommend taking breaks and drinking this one over time, in terms of both the brewing session and storage life. As with all our teas, young or aged, we chose this tea because we enjoy how it tastes now. However, given its profile this tea could also be a good candidate for storage. To prevent confusion: The name is just a name – this tea comes from 100% spring material, not winter tea. Click here for more information about this tea and brewing instructions. $0.45/gram
