L'algue Aoito a été cultivée dans le ruisseau d'eau douce de la Rivière Yoshino à Shikoku, au Sud du Japon. Le produit est supérieur puisque séléctionné uniquement parmi les Aonori de saison, récoltés en novembre. L'Aoito est très aromatique et fond doucement dans la bouche.
