Overview
This tea comes from the Fujian province of China. The Souchong leaf is picked from the low branches of the tea bush and are riper and larger. After fermentation the leaves are roasted in iron pans for a short time and then the tea is smoked over pine wood. This Lapsang has a large open black leaf with a sharp note of Smoke. The brewed tea has a rich dark colour and a wonderful smokey aroma. Drink as a pure brew or blended with a black tea. Brew for 2-4 mins. Water Temperature: 100 degrees C. Use 2-5 tsp per litre of water.
