Overview
Very full-bodied and malty flavour with hints of currant. With milk the cup is bright golden. Broken pekoe leaf from the first flush (first and freshest plucking of the harvest season). Ingredient: Black tea Origin: Nandi Highlands, Kenya Caffeine Content: High Water Temperature: Boiling Steep Time: 2-4 minutes One heaping teaspoon per 8 ozs water "This is one of my go to teas – it never disappoints. The leaves are very fine and for this reason I use a single use paper filter, not a metal or reusable filter or strainer. The dry leaves have a distinct, not overly strong, and quite pleasing aroma, but I can’t put a name to it. I was surprised to find the wet leaves had less aroma. I brew my cup of tea for three minutes. It is a lovely warm amber colour and very clear; the aroma is there but very faint; without milk, the tea has a medium mouth feel, it is not a heavy or full-bodied feel but it is certainly not a thin feel. For me, it has a bit of a tart taste to start but finishes with a very nice mellowness – if there is such a word." Rosemary, customer since 2010 (our very first customer ever)
