Overview
You asked for it and you got it. Our Bitter End Laomane is now available in shou-form. As expected, the fermentation process of the raw material yields a tea with a dense body and smooth texture. This texture is layered, arriving in waves and adding complexity to each brew. While a lot of emphasis is on the mouthfeel and texture, the flavour is also enjoyable. Clean and slightly sweet, this tea has a prominent nuttiness and rice-soup quality that defines its sweet side. While itβs not the sweetest shou out there, itβs also not as bitter as you might expect from a Laomane shou, with only a small residual amount of bitterness showing up. One thing it does have in common with its raw brother is a great chaqi/energy that creeps up on you. If we had a fireplace, this would be the ideal tea sip while watching the flames dance. $0.34/gram
