Overview
Green tea on the Rocks is a tea bag product made by tea farmer Maehara-san specifically for creating iced green teas. As such the size of the tea bag include 5 grams of deep steamed tea leaf instead of 2-3g as most companies offer. Ingredients: green tea Net weight: 5g x 14 tea bags (original bag), 5g x 4 tea bags (Yunomi bag) Harvest: Spring Region: Chiran, Kagoshima Steeping Notes Steeping it cold (cold-brewing), use 1-2 bag per 1 liter of water depending on your desired strength, and allow it to sit in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. About the Maehara Tea Farm and Fukamushicha The Maehara Tea Farm is a vertically integrated, family-operated farm located in the southern Japanese prefecture of Kagoshima. Fukamushicha is a green tea that has been steamed for longer than usual ("deep-steamed") to create an opaque, deep green, richly flavorful tea, though the leaves themselves are broken apart as a result of the long steaming time.
