Overview
A blend of 2024 spring Yashixiang (duckshit fragrance) Dancong and traditionally piled shou puer (blended, but Menghai dominant), this tea covers a lot of ground. On one end, it no shortage of intoxicating floral fragrance, thanks to the dancong. Down on the ground, the shou puer provides a settling comfort and texture. It’s a match that you need taste to believe. The primary adjustment we made this time around was a swap of shou, which allows this tea to not only maintain an excellent texture, but also helps it come in at a lower price point than our previous pressings. If anything, this time around the tea has an even creamier quality to it, which may be aided by a good year for the dancong. This is a blend that settles over time, which is why we recommend drinking it fresh and with some storage under its belt. This allows you to compare the tea when the separation of flavours is fresh, and again as they meld into one, more unified being. Both are enjoyable states. $0.19/gram
