Overview
A sub-varietal of Yelai Xiang, Potou Xiang naturally shares a similar fragrance as itβs mother varietal, with a strong, distinct floral note. As this tea comes from old bush material that has undergone traditional charcoal roasting, the fragrance is delivered much more elegantly though, woven into the soup, rather than being in your face from the start. This is one of those teas that pays off if you take the time and attention from brew to brew. The floral notes develop nicely with each brew, and linger in the mouth long after taking a sip. The texture is smooth, and easily produces a salivating effect. As the tea progresses, light citrus notes start to rise in the later brews. This tea is also consistently sweet, with very little bitterness and astringency. Please note that the 250g size does not include a tin. $0.90-1.00/gram
