Overview
From our very first lineup in 2015, this was one of our most popular for several years. Processed as a raw puer, this tea is comprised of Lincang Zijuan purple tea. The higher levels of anthocyanin contribute to the purple colour and are a natural mutation in some tea plants to combat harsh sun. Originally on the more astringent side, this tea has calmed down significantly, with slight fruitiness in the soup and fragrance, as well as a touch of smoke and strong mineral quality. And yes, even the soup has a slight purple tint to it still. Availability: 4 x 100g cakes
