Made from similar Kunlu Shan material as our Oh Deer sheng puer, this white tea is equally dynamic. Given the variety of tea tree cultivars, both domesticated and semi-wild, that coexist in Kunlu, this isn’t necessarily a surprise. There is a pleasant vegetal quality that is a bit savoury, while the sweetness comes through in the form of a nice huigan. Overall, this tea remains crisp and refreshing throughout each brew. There is also a touch of bitterness in the soup, however, this is very much relative to other white teas, which tend to be low in bitterness. Compare to most other teas, this quality is not very obvious, but in this case, it adds an extra dimension to the drinking experience. $0.15/gram Picking Period: Spring 2024 Region: Kunlu Shan, Yunnan
